I am an active music arranger for high schools and colleges, as well as other various ensembles. As an instrumentalist, I have played trumpet for 13 years and piano for 8 years, as well as having a working knowledge of many other instruments. I've been composing in a variety of styles and genres since 2002, and in 2007 I received the University of Colorado at Boulder Undergraduate Composition Commission.

I currently perform with the Colorado Wind Ensemble (trumpet), 5280 A Cappella (Bass/Baritone/Vocal Percussion), and Mockingbird, a newly formed quartet comprised of myself (trumpet, vocals, keys), Phil Norman (cello, vocals, electronics), Ben Fausch (tuba, vocals, keys, electronics), and Garrett Suzelis (guitar, vocals).

During the 2009-2010 seasons, I was the Sound Engineer for the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps. Before joining the staff at SCV, I was a marching member and soloist for two years (2007-2008). In addition to composing, arranging, performing and sound engineering, I tutor in music theory and teach private trumpet lessons.

While I was a student at the University of Colorado at Boulder, I studied composition with Carter Pann, Daniel Kellogg, John Drumheller, and Richard Toensing, as well as having studied trumpet with Terry Sawchuk. I was born in Roswell, GA, and attended Wheeler High School in Marietta, GA. In my spare time, I enjoy cycling, reading, running, and snowboarding.
